Honoring Our Veterans - Part II

The opening weekend for No Time for Sergeants began with a "bang". After two successful evening shows the cast and crew made it to the benefit performance. All veterans and their spouses were invited to attend free of charge. The special guests of honor were the men and women of the Lone Star Honor Flight. This group is composed of World War II veterans who have visited Washington D.C. (all expenses paid) as a small token of the community's appreciation for their service. You can see more of the pictures in the gallery.

The US Troop Support Foundation was on hand to collect items for our active duty personnel. While all of us may appreciate how the volunteers of the Armed Forces protect our freedom, no one appreciates them more that our veterans who know what it is like to be on the front lines. The members of the Lone Star Honor Flight were particularly generous in their support. If you missed any of this week's performances of No Time for Sergeants you still have two more weekends to see an incredible show and bring tangible evidence of your support for our active duty troops. Go to the US Troop Support Foundation website to find a comprehensive list of items you can bring.

Once the show was over, Darrel's Catering provided a BBQ dinner for all our guests. The veterans and their guests were invited to sit on stage, view the airplane, and chat with the cast and crew.
