Come and see some incredible singing, dancing, and comedy! Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen") inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced "Eye-gore"), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. "It's alive!" he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.

Hello, Dolly! is a musical filled with charisma and with heart. Matchmaker Dolly Levi is a widow, a matchmaker, and also a professional meddler - but everything changes when she decides that the next match she needs to make is to find someone for herself. Along the way she also succeeds in matching the young and beautiful Irene Molloy with Vandergelder's head clerk, Cornelius Hackl; Cornelius's assistant Barnaby Tucker with Mrs. Molloy's loop assistant, Minnie Fay; and the struggling artist Ambrose Kemper with Mr. Vandergelder's weeping niece, Ermengarde.

Set in New York City at the turn-of-the-century, Hello-Dolly! is boisterous and charming from start to finish. Hello, Dolly! features such memorable songs as "Before the Parade Passes By," "It Only Takes a Moment," "Put on Your Sunday Clothes," and - of course - the title number, "Hello, Dolly!"

The Elephant Man

The Elephant Man is based on the life of John Merrick, who lived in London during the latter part of the nineteenth century. A horribly deformed young man, victim of rare skin and bone diseases, he has become the star freak attraction in traveling side shows. Found abandoned and helpless, he is admitted to London's prestigious Whitechapel hospital. Under the care of celebrated young physician Frederick Treves, Merrick is introduced to London society and slowly evolves from an object of pity to an urbane and witty favorite of the aristocracy and literati only to be denied his ultimate dream, to become a man like any other.

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka follows enigmatic candy manufacturer, Willy Wonka, as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats: the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory... or suffer the consequences.

Anna must get through challenges and meet new friends, such as Olaf - an adorable talking Snowman - and face her charming boyfriend to save the kingdom from not only Hans, but from winter.

Facts about the movie:

  • As of April 11, 2014, Frozen (2013) became both the highest grossing animated and musical film of all time and the ninth highest grossing film of all time with a worldwide box office gross of $1.1 billion.
  • Idina Menzel auditioned for the part of Rapunzel in Disney's previous fairytale, Tangled (2010). Even though Menzel didn't get the part, a Disney casting director recorded her audition and two years later, it got her the part of Elsa.

Opening Weekend for The Addams Family

Over 900 patrons came to the opening weekend of The Addams Family - A New Musical. While the show is rated PG-13, many families came out and had a great time getting pictures with cast members and celebrating Halloween. Patrons came in costume as Morticia, Wednesday, Fester, and some of the other characters from the show.

Scavenger Hunt Winner

On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, the downtown Conroe merchants held a scavenger hunt during the lunch hour to promote the downtown area. Thanks to Margie Taylor and all the volunteers who helped make the downtown Conroe Scavenger Hunt a success! Several hundred visitors descended on downtown Conroe and were surprised at the variety of activities available to residents. Congratulations to Jody King who won Stage Right's scavenger prize.

If you missed the Scavenger Hunt, there will be many other events in the downtown Conroe area. So come and visit us and see what you are missing!

Last Weekend for Legally Blonde

Over 3700 people came to see Legally Blonde. This makes it the third highest attended show after Shrek the Musical and Singin' in the Rain. Even better, we were able to raise over $4500 dollars for Operation Pets Alive. Stage Right will get their own flight for life!

After the show the cast sang (what else) to video karaoke with the biggest "TV" around - the 24 foot screen on the stage of the Crighton theatre. While the cast is going many separate ways, they made this a summer to remember. Now on to the 2016-2017 season of Fantasy!
